ING A FEDERAL SHARED RLVENUE FUND, ES-
TIMATING RE -VENUES AND APPROPRIATING
EXPENDITURES 'THEREFOR.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMDLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
whereas, certain stuns have been received by the City of
Port 'Townsend from the Federal Shared Revenue Program, which funds
include accumulated sums for the year 1D72, and sums accumulated
and received in the year 1973, and
Whereas, it was not possible to appropriate said sums
in the regular 1973 budget, .for the reason that the amount of re-
ceipts was uncertain, and that the administration of the funds
was in question, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED
Section 1. The anticipated revenues for the Federal
Shared Revenue Fund, which is hereinafter established, for the year
1973, including accumulated revenues therefore for the year 1972,
is estimated to be the sum of Forty -Two Thousand Dollars ($92,000).
Section 2. There is here and hereby established a "Federal
Shared Revenue Fund," from which expenditures may be made for City
government pursuant to appropriate federal legislation.
Section 3. There.is here and hereby appropriated for the
1973 budget of the Federal Shared Revenue Fund the following sums
for the expenditures hereinbelow indicated:
Gravel Pit Acquisition ........ $20,600
Street Signs ..................$ 3,650
Litter ❑arrels................$ 250
Youth Recreation ..............$ 3,600
.Acquisition of Property
(City Garage) ..............$ 3,5D0
Playground Equipment and
Maintenance ................$ 500
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage, approval and publication in the form and manner required by
law.
Read for the first time on June 19, 1973. Read for the
second and third times, passed by the Council and approved by the
btayor on July 3, 1973.
