The key purpose of the corporation is to foster community recreation. As matters now stand, with substantial financial assistance from UGN, ACT cnn once again hire a summer director to plan, coordinate and manage a multi~sport summer recreational program for 1970. ~e feol quite strongly tho.t the City of Port rrownsend could and should assist in developing and maintaining a recreational program. Therefore, we would appreciate being advised as to the following: I 1. To what extent, if any, co.n the City provide direct financial D.Sé;Ïstf=\nCe to ACT to furthe1? its community recreational program? 2. Would the City of Port Townsend match ACT's summer recreational program by developing and maintaining at City expense a 1969-70 win tel' recreational program: ACT is willing to assist you in almost any way in developing such ~ program. An ACT represcn4 tative is available to appear before you o.t any time to discuss the :r'ecreation 31 issues generated by this letter and by the recreotional needs of the citizens of Port Townsend.
