He also stated that Fort Angeles operats the same as Port Tormsend viith the three percent tax. He also stated that he vIas sure no parent. would holler about paying an extra three cents for a couple of hours baby sitting and therefore he was against taking off the admission tax. Councilman Lindsey said he generaly tries to go along with the comnittee but; this time he ht:1.d to go along VJi th ¡-ill" Wiley and vv'Ould be in favor of taking the tax off. Councilman Ruby l'í1ade a motion seconded by CoLL.'1cilman Lindsey that the admission tax be repealed-- After some Yurt~ler !!1idcuss :i_on !,'Iayor S~ni th called for a vote. Councilman Judy, Chairman of the Fire & Light Comrnittee re)orted that a request for a street light at lOth & Grant vIas checked and there Vias a need in that area for a ligb,t. Councilman Judy made a motion seconded by CQ1,Dl.cilman Ruby ]that a vapor street light be installed as requested. Motion carried. Mayor Smith asked the Sewer (;:, Finance Committee to get togetheI' and make a recormnendation f'or insurance in connection with the Se1;ver Lines, Pul'TIþing Stations and 'I'reabnEmt Center. Counc ilman Ruby said tì1e counci 1 should look in to the ma tter of a 13&0 Tax for the Ci ty of Port Townsend. Mayor Smith said that Councilman Ruby was right, unless there was some other procedure was desired by the council ~ he would refer it to the finance coillnlittee. Councilman Hog¡'und said :~he committee had discussed .the three percent tax and the licenses ¡~ut didnt arrive at doing anything with the license part. The company asked for a i'ranchise to ,ins.tall 3, TV cable in the city of Port Townsend. < Councilman Hoglund Inad~ a motion seconded by Councioman Ruby that the city attornex be instructed to meet the represenative from the Teletronics, Inc~ fQr the purpose ~ a franchise and fQr .it to be brought back to the council for approval. Motion carried. Mr Robey.t Sahli, building contractor in the city of Port Townsend spoke before the council and asked the counc il ii' they would make a study on a 'fe'll of his problems cone erning hookups fE es He said he was being charged 75.00 for each house to connect to the trunk lin<:J thät he had put :i.n himself. He also mentioned that he had an apärtment house vIi th eleven apar tments that would cos t him 850.00.
