AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $3,954
TO THE CURRENT EXPENSE FURD, $8,935 TO THE
STREET FUND, $4,161 TO THE LIBRARY FUND,
$11,733 TO THE PA-]~d< FU~D, $3,341 TO THE
]giERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES FUND, $26,654 TO
THE WATER - SEWER FUND, $3,339 TO THE STORM
AND SURFACE WATER FUND, AND $3,004 TO THE
EQUIPMENT RENTAL FUND, MAKING FINDINGS AND
DEWING AN EMERGENCY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, UPON REVIEW OF THE
1993 BUDGET FOR THE CITY MAKES THE FOLLOWING FINDINGS:
A) During the 1993 Budget Hearing, the City Council approved a
change in the appropriation for the Mainstreet Project which was
not reflected in the final document.
B) Labor Contracts were settled with the Teamster's Union requiring
additional appropriation for salaries and benefits.
C) The Historic Preservation Commission has determined a need to
survey the historic buildings in town to establish a data base from
which to work.
D) The foregoing emergencies were not reasonably foreseeable at the
time of filing of the city's preliminary budget and requires
expenditure of money not provided for in the annual budget for
1993.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The sum of THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED FIFTY FOUR
DOLLARS ($3,954.00) is here and hereby appropriated as a supplement
to the 1993 budget for the city of Port Townsend in the Current
Expense Fund for supplies for the Historic Preservation Commission,
to pay additional salaries and benefits, and a contract for
professional services for the Mainstreet Project from contingency
funds as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto as though fully
set forth herein.
section ,,~,, The sum of EIGHT THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED THIRTY FIVE
DOLLARS ($8,935.00) is here and hereby appropriated as a supplement
to the 1993 budget for the City of Port Townsend in the Street Fund
to pay additional salaries and benefits from unappropriated
beginning fund balance as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
as though fully set forth herein.
~ection.3. The sum of FOUR THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SIXTY ONE DOLLARS
($4,161.00) is here and hereby appropriated as a supplement to the
1993 budget for the city of Port Townsend in the Library Fund to
pay additional salaries and benefits from unappropriated beginning
fund balance as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto as though
fully set forth herein.
Section 4. The sum of ELEVEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTY THREE
DOLLARS ($11,733.00) is here and hereby appropriated as a
supplement to the 1993 budget for the City of Port Townsend in the
Park Fund to pay additional salaries and benefits from
unappropriated beginning fund balance as set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto as though fully set forth herein.

DOLLARS ($3,341.00) is here and hereby appropriated as a supplement
to the 1993 budget for the City of Port Townsend in the Emergency
Medical Services Fund to pay additional salaries and benefits from
unappropriated beginning fund balance as set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto as though fully set forth herein.
SeQtion 6. The sum of TWENTY SIX THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY FOUR
DOLLARS ($26,654.00) is here and hereby appropriated as a
supplement to the 1993 budget for the city of Port Townsend in the
Water-Sewer Fund to pay additional salaries and benefits from water
and waste water charges for services as set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto as though fully set forth herein.
Sgction 7. The sum of THREE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED THIRTY NINE
DOLLARS ($3,339.00) is here and hereby appropriated as a supplement
to the 1993 budget for the city of Port Townsend in the Storm and
Surface Water Fund to pay additional salaries and benefits from
charges for services as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached heretoas
though fully set forth herein.
SeQtion 8. The sum of THREE THOUSAND AND FOUR DOLLARS ($3,004.00)
is here and hereby appropriated as a supplement to the 1993 budget
for the City of Port Townsend in the Equipment Rental Fund to pay
additional salaries and benefits from unappropriated beginning fund
balance as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto as though fully
set forth herein.
Section 9. There is here and hereby found and declared to be an
emergency requiring the foregoing appropriations to the 1993 budget
for the City of Port Townsend.
Section 10. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approval and publication in the form and manner provided by law.
