RESOLUTION NO. 05-028
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD AND EXECUTE A
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE SEWER OUTFALL
REPLACEMENT BY PIPE BURSTING PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council appropriated funds for Sewer Outfall Replacement by
Pipe Bursting project in the approved 2005 Capital Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City is in the process of bidding the construction contract in accordance
with fèderal, state and city bidding procedures; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager may award and execute a construction contract with
authorization from Council; and
WHEREAS, delegation of bid award and contract execution is appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is hereby authorized to award the contract for the Sewer Outfàll
Replacement by Pipe Bursting project to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder(s), and to take
all necessary and proper steps to carry out the contract, including approving appropriate change
orders that do not exceed the amount previously authorized by Council for this project in the
approved budget.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this eighteenth day of July, 2005.
