- AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ENTIRE WIDTH OF THE 20-FOOT-
WIDE ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN BLOCK 25 OF THE HASTING'S 3RD
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND; ESTABLISHING
CONDITIONS TO THE STREET VACATION; AND ESTABLISHING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend has considered Street Vacation
Application No. 9212-03, and following due notice has held a public hearing upon the
application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend adopted its Findings of Fact
and Conclusions on February 7, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the applicants have paid to the City one-half the appraised value of the area to
be vacated; Now, Therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following alley is hereby vacated:
The entire width of the 20-foot-wide alley located within Block
25 of the Hasting's 3rd Addition to the City of Port Townsend.
Section 2.
That the street vacation aforementioned is conditioned, however,
on the following:

The final building inspection will be signed off, and a certificate
of occupancy will be issued on the date the ordinance vacating
the alley is recorded.
A certified copy of the ordinance vacating the street shall be
recorded by the City Clerk in the office of the Jefferson County
Auditor upon receipt by the City of all fees and compensation
required (12.20.120 Port Townsend Municipal Code); provided
that all of the above conditions have been satisfied.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in
the form and manner provided by law, and after it has been recorded with the Jefferson
County Auditor pursuant to Section 2 of this ordinance.
