RESOLUTION NO. 05-014
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE INVESTMENT OF CITY TAX
COLLECTIONS BY JEFFERSON COUNTY TREASURER
WHEREAS, RCW 36.29.110 authorizes county treasurers to remit city tax
collections monthly with earnings; and
WHEREAS, RCW 36.29.020 authorizes county treasurers to invest city tax
collections when directed by the governing body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Port Townsend that the County Treasurer shall invest all City tax collections and remit
monthly, with earnings. The City Finance Director has authority to approve a reasonable
method of remittance of City taxes.
ADOPTED by the City Council ofthe City of Port Townsend, Washington, at a
regular meeting thereof, held this seventh day of March, 2005.
