RESOLUTION 05-004
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE LIBRARY STRATEGIC PLAN
"VISION 2010 AND BEYOND"
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend Library's strategic plan "Toward 2001" ("1997
Plan") was adopted in 1997 to guide the Library forward into 2001; and
WHEREAS, the Library Director and Library Advisory Board determined that the 1997
Plan has become outdated and a current plan should be written; and
WHEREAS, a final draft plan "Vision 2010 and Beyond" has been completed after
extensive public process and work by the Director and the Long Range Plan Steering Committee;
and
WHEREAS, the final draft plan has been affirmed by the Library Advisory Board, the
Friends ofthe Library, the library Foundation, and the library staff;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Port
Townsend, to adopt the final draft ofthe Library Strategic Plan "Vision 2010 and Beyond" until
it may be further amended or revised.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this third day of January, 2005.
