The regular meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission was called to order by chairman Teresa Goldsmith at 7:05 p.m. Roll call was taken. Present: Carson, Goldsmith, Raab, Marseille, Yawman. Absent: Landis, Smith. Guests: Bill Darlington, Kitt Cupp, Cathy M. Boyd, Bill White, Bernie ARthur, Patrick McIntire, Patricia Warren, Mark Saugen, and Dennis McLerran, city lawyer. Minutes were read. Raab moved and Yawman seconded that they be approved. Vote was unanimous in favor. Communications It was noted that the commissioners had been given copies of a letter from Mayor C1ise to Barbara Bogart, officially appointing her secretary to the HPC. Consent Agenda There were no objections to the proposed signage for the Ming Court Restaurant, 1145 Water St., HPC 9203-01, so it was automatically approved. New Business Discussion of Appearance of Fairness Doctrine: Dennis McLerran, staff lawyer, presented information concerning the Doctrine, especially as it pertains to HPC. Pizza Factory, HPC 9202-07: Signage at 1102 Water St. The applicant had not arrived when the application came up for review. Yawman, chairman of the review committee, stated that Seaman, the sign designer, had stated that the visuals were not accurate, which would influence reports. Sepler stated that the only information that can be considered is what is in the application. After discussion, it was decided to move the application to "Old Business, B". - ¿···~w
