AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OFPORT TOWNSEND ESTABLISHING THE
FEES FOR RECREATION PROGRAM AND SWIMMING PROGRAM
EFFECTIVE MAY 1, 1995
WHEREAS, beginning January 1, 1995, the City agreed to take over the public
recreation program at the swimming pool, located at the Mountain View Elementary School and
owned by the Port TOwnsend School District; and
WHEREAS, following numerous public meetings of the Parks, Recreation and Property
Committee of the City Council, and based on extensive public comments and testimony and
input from the Port Townsend School District, the City has established a new pool program, to
'include new fees, staffing, and services to be provided,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, in regular session
hereby ordains as follows:
Section 1, From and after May 1, 1995, the following fees and charges are
established for the City Recreation Program:
Recreation Program
T-Ball $ 5.00 per participant
Jogging & Conditioning $20.00 per participant
Classes
Section 2. From and after May 1, 1995, the following fees and charges are
established for the City Swimming Program:
Swimming Program
Regular Swim (each swim) Passes (20 swims)
Adult $2.25 $35.00
Kiddie (under 3) $1.00 $25.00
Youth (under 17) $1.75 $25.00
Senior (over 62) $1.75 $25.00
Swimming Lessons
Red Cross LeSsons $30.00 10 lessons
Semi-private Lessons $10.00 per 1/2 hour 2-4 participants
Private Lessons $15.00 per 1/2 hour 1 participant
Pool Rental $60.00 per hour
Section 3. The Parks, Recreation and Property Committee of the City Council is hereby
authorized to set special rates for the recreation and swimming programs for promotional
purposes. Such revisions of the above fees and charges shall be for limited periods of time 'only,
and need not be approved by the full Council.
Section 4. Any and all actions taken pursuant to the authority of this Ordinance but prior
to its passage are hereby ratified and confirmed.
This Ordinance shall take effect May 1, 1995.
