SUPPLEMENTAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
ESTABLISHING AND AMENDING FEES FOR THE RECREATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, beginning January 1, 1995, the City agreed to take over the public
recreation program' at the swimming pool, located at the Mountain View Elementary School and
owned by the Port Townsend School District; and
WHEREAS, following numerous public meetings of the Parks, Recreation and Property
Committee of the City Council, and based on extensive public comments and testimony and
input from the Port Townsend School District, the City has established a new pool and
recreation program, to include new fees, staffing, and services to be provided; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2455, adopted April 17, 1995, the Council set fees and
charges for certain activities in the recreation program; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2455 incorrectly set the fees for T-BaH and omitted fees and
charges for Tennis Lessons and Basketball Camp; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance amends and supplements Ordinance No. 2455,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, in regular session
hereby ordains as follows:
Section 1. From and after the effective date of this ordinance, the following fees and
charges are established for the City Recreation Program:
Recreation Program
T-Ball Program $20.00 I per participant
Basketball Camp $20.00 per participant
Tennis Lessons $20.00 per participant
Section 2. Any and all actions taken pursuant to the authority of this ordinance but prior
to its passage are hereby ratified and confirmed.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days after the date of its passage,
approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second, and third times and passed by the City .~0uncil of the City of
Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting held this ~"-7- day of June, 1995.
