AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY WITHIN BLOCK
24 OF HASTING'S 3RD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND;
ESTABLISHING CONDITIONS TO THE ALLEY VACATION; AND
ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend has considered Street Vacation
Application No. 9403-06 (Mike & Karen Hamilton), and following due notice has held a
public hearing upon the application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend adopted its Findings of Fact and
Conclusions on July 18, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the applicants have paid to the City one-half of the appraised value of the area to
be vacated; Now, Therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following alley is hereby vacated:
The alley right-of-way within Block 24, Hasting's 3rd Addition, between
Hendricks and Sherman Streets. Block 24 is bounded by 29th and 30th Streets,
on the south and north, and by Hendricks and Sherman Streets on the east and
west.
Section 2.
That the street vacation aforementioned is conditioned, however, on the
following:

A certified copy of the ordinance vacating the alley shall be recorded by the
City with the office of the Jefferson County Auditor.
B. A public trail may be connected in the future in the right-of'way.
Section 3.
This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in
the form and manner provided by law, and after it has been recorded with the
Jefferson County Auditor pursuant to Section 2 of this ordinance.
