RESOLUTION NO. 11-027
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AMENDING THE 2012-2017 SIX-YEAR TRANSPORTATION
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM TO ADD THE HASTINGS AVENUE SIDEWALK
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT THE REVISED
TIP TO THE STATE
WHEREAS, the Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project was listed and approved in the
2011-2016 Six Year Transportation Improvement Plan with Resolution No. 11-023 in August
2011; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the 2012-2017 Six Year Transportation
Improvement Plan with Resolution No. 11-019 in July 2011; and
WHEREAS, the project was delayed by the approval process, the City wishes to
schedule and build the Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project in 2012 when weather conditions are
favorable for construction; and
WHEREAS, the Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project must be added in the 2012-2017 Six
Year Plan in order for WSDOT to obligate the SAFETEA-LU Transportation Enhancement
Program funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows: The City Council authorizes the Mayor to sign this amendment resolution
approving the change to the Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for 2012-2017
adding the Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 10th day of October 2011.
