HomeMy WebLinkAbout2501 Amending Zoning MapAfter Recording Return to: City of Port Townsend Building & Community Development Dept. 540 Water Street Port Townsend, WA 98368 ORDINANCE NO. 2501 AN ORDINANCE KEZONING LOT 1 OF THE KUHN'S RANCH ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND FROM R-III to P-I, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, due hearings have been held and appropriate findings and conclusions made as provided for by Ordinance No, 1625, as amended, of the City of Port Townsend, and WHEREAS the City Council for the City of Port Townsend has approved of the rezoning of the property described belOw pursuant to its findings of fact and conclusions, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The official zoning map of the City of Port Townsend is here and hereby amended to change from R-III to P-I zoning those lands in Port Townsend described as follows: Lot 1 of Kuhn's Ranch Addition to the City of Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington. Section 2. The following conditions shall apply to any development or grading on the above referenced property and the same shall be recorded with the Jefferson County Auditor and run with the land as a condition of approval of the zoning change made by this ordinance: The uses allowed on the subject property shall be limited to those activities consistent with the P-I zoning district All SEPA conditions from the proposal's Mitigated Determination of Non Significance (MDNS) (File #9510-04(s)), are listed below and incorporated into this rezone by reference: ao Aesthetics - The Pink House shall remain in its present outward appearance with the exception of cosmetic rehabilitation such as paint, gardening, and plantings. The structure shall be restored using the national Trust for Historic Preservation guidelines as reviewed and approved by the Port Townsend Historical Preservation Commission. Light and Glare - Lighting shall be designed to provide safe and secure passage of pedestrians, bicycles and motorized vehicles. Shields shall be installed on exterior lighting to prevent glare from adversely affecting adjacent properties Page I of 2 and roadways. PrOposed lighting shall be consistent with that of the Public Library located immediately adjacent to the site. Co Transportation - Future occupants of the Charles Pink House must have a valid agreement for joint use parking within a reasonable distance of the site. Unless a variance is obtained pursuant to Chapter 17.64 PTMC, the number of parking spaces shall meet the requirements of Chapter 17.30 PTMC, Off-Street Parking and Loading. Miscellaneous - A copy of these mitigation measures shall be given to and read by the project contractor and all sub-contractors prior to beginning construction, and a list of these mitigation measures shall be prominently posted at the site in a waterproof container or bag. Section 3, This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in the form and manner provided by laW. Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend, and approved and signed by the Mayor of the City of Port Townsend this 16 day of January, 1996.
