RESOLUTION NO. 11-023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON TO AMEND THE 2011-2016 SIX -YEAR TRANSPORTATION
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM TO UPDATE THE DESCRIPTION FOR THE
HASTINGS AVENUE SIDEWALK PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO SUBMIT THE REVISED TIP TO THE STATE
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the 2011-2016 Six Year Transportation
Improvement Plan with in July 2010; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes the Washington State Department of Transportation to
obligate funds from the SAFETEA-LU Transportation Enhancement Program which were
allocated to the City for the Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project; and
WHEREAS, the description for the project must be amended in the 2011-2016 Six Year
Plan to match the actual work being done in order for WSDOT to obligate the SAFETEA-LU
Transportation Enhancement Program funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows: The City Council authorizes the Mayor to sign this amendment resolution
approving the change to the Six -Year Transportation Improvement Program for 2011-2016 for
item #9, changing the Hastings Avenue Sidewalk Project to read "Sidewalk and storinwater
enhancements and other improvements on the North side of Hastings Ave."
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 1 st day of August 2011.
