WI-~.REAS, the City Council for the City of Port Town.~nd has considered Street Vacation Application No. 9511-13 (City of Port Townsend, Public Works Departmen0, and following due notice has held a public hearing upon the application; and WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend adopted its Findings of Fact and Conclusions on April 1, 1996, and THE CITY COUNCIL OF'THE'CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Sex:tign 1. That the following streets are hereby vacated to the City of Port Townsend: Beech Street from the northern edge of existing Redwood Street to the northern edge of "S" Street; "R" Street between existing Redwood Street and Cherry Street; and "S" Street ~om the western edge of Beech Street east to Cherry Street, all within Blocks 47, 60, 61 and 62 of the Pettygrove's Second Addition to the City of Port Townsend. Section 2. That the street vacation aforementioned is subject to and conditioned on the following: A utility easement shall be reserved for Puget Power to allow continued use and maintenance of the existing distribution facilities within Beech Street. The easement shall be ten feet in width having five feet on each side of the centerline of the facilities as currently construct. COPIED TO COUNCIL A certified copy of the ordinance vacating the street shall be recorded by the City with the office of the Jefferson County Auditor after all required fees have been paid and required easements have been executed and recorded.
