RESOLUTION NO. 04-051
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT
TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT A U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY ASSISTANCE
TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT, EXECUTE GRANT AGREEMENT, AND
EXECUTE PURCHASE AGREEMENTS CONSISTENT WITH THE GRANT
FOR ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS
WHEREAS, the City applied for a u.S. Department of Homeland Security and
Office for Preparedness grant for assistance to firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded the grant, subject to execution ofthe
grant agreement,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Port Townsend as follows:
1. The City Manager is authorized to execute the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program for assistance to firefighters
and all necessary and related documents for obtaining the grant;
2. The City Manager is authorized to execute purchase agreements consistent
with the grant.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this seventh day of September 2004.
