HomeMy WebLinkAbout2553A Budget for 1997ORDINANCE 2553 AN ORDINANCE fixing and adopting the 1997 Budget for the general city government, the water-sewer utilities, the storm and surface water utility, bond redemption funds and the capital improvement program. The City Council of the City of Port Townsend, in regular session assembled, does ordain as follows: ° Section 1. Appropriation for the 1997 Budget is hereby made for the General City Government for the purpose and in the amounts following: Current Expense Garbage Street Arterial Street Library Parks and Recreation Hotel-Motel Transient Tax Capital Improvement P.T. Local Improvement Guaranty Equipment Rental Firemen's Pension and Relief Community Development Block Grant $3,950,240 1,065,000 1,459,225 72,683 437,498 522,167 201,500 1,055,902 50,100 1,628,102 287,300 31,654 Section 2. Approprigionis hereby madeforthe 1997 budget fortheW~er-SewerUtilitiesinthe sum of $6,017,005. Section 3. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1997 budget for the Storm and Surface Water Utility in the sum of $1,695,462. Section 4. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1997 budget for the bond redemption funds as follows:. Limited Tax General Obligation Bond Redemption, 1990 Limited Tax General Obligation Bond Redemption, 1991 Limited Tax General Obligation Bond Redemption, 1993 1978 Water Revenue Bond Redemption 1967 Water/Sewer Revenue Bond Redemption 1978 Water/Sewer Revenue Bond Redemption Series "B" 1992 Water/Sewer Revenue Bond Redemption Local Improvement District No. 1 Local Improvement District No.2 Total 78,878 24,084 44,500 39,800 90,500 218,025 875,973 84,000 17,200 $1,472,960 Section 5. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1997 budget for special project ftmds as follows: 1992 Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction $146,678 Section 6. Due hearing having been held, the preceding five sections hereof are hereby fixed and adopted as the budget for the year of 1997 for the City of Port Townsend and its various utilities departments and funds. Section 7. The projects and amounts shown as funded for 1997 in the Capital Improvement Program attaChed as Exhibit "A" are hereby adopted as set forth therein. Section 8. If any provision of this ordinance or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the application of the provision to other persons or circumstances, is not affected. Section 9. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval, and publication in the form and manner provided by law.
