RESOLUTION NO. 04-038
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A
PROFESSISONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CH2MHILL TO ASSIST THE
CITY WITH AN UPDATE TO THE 1998 WATER SYSTEM PLAN
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Health requires the City to update its
Water System Plan every six years; and
WHEREAS, the City's Water System Plan was adopted in 1998; and
WHEREAS, such services require specialized expertise and training; and
WHEREAS, the City does not have sufficient staff or expertise to conduct such
services itself; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant completed the 1998 Water System Plan and therefore has a
clear understanding of the City's water system; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant has the modeling data for the system and the digital
formats of the current Water System Plan; and
WHEREAS, this makes plan revisions easier, more timely and less costly,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend that the City Manager is herby authorized to sign a professional services agreement
with CH2Mhill to update the 1998 Water System Plan.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this nineteenth day of July 2004.
