RESOLUTION NO. 04-019
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE PORT TOWNSEND VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS
ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the Port Townsend Firefighters Association is a non-profit
corporation which provides valuable base support to the community, and perfonns
services which directly benefit the community and save direct expenses to the City; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's interest to establish a fonnal arrangement with the
Association in the same manner as other non-profits that perfonn services to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of
Port Townsend, that the City Manager is authorized to execute a twelve-month agreement
with the Port Townsend Volunteer Firefighters Association in an amount not to exceed
$20,000.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this third day of May, 2004.
