ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance 2567 to revise the salary
established for the position of Director of Building and
Community Development and establishing an effective date.
the City Council has confirmed the Mayor's appointment ora new Director of
Building and Community Development; and
the City Council has also approved the salary offered by the mayor to the
appointee; Now, Therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 2567 is hereby amended as follows:
Section 1. From and after January 1, 1997, the salaries for the following city
positions are fixed not to exceed the following amounts, which salaries shall be
paid monthly, unless otherwise indicated:
Police Chief ............................................. $4,905.67

Section 3. Any and all actions taken pursuant to the authority of this ordinance but prior
to its passage are hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in

the form and manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, and passed by the City Council and
