AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AMENDING
ORDINANCE 2524, TO ESTABLISH THE POSITION OF PUBLIC WORKS
OFFICE LEAD AND ESTABLISH A SALARY FOR SUCH A POSITION
EFFECTIVE APRIL 01, 1997.
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to establish the position of Public Works Office
Lead for the City of Port Townsend and establish a salary for such position effective April 01,
1997; and
WHEREAS, Section 3 of Ordinance 2524 adopted at the May 06, 1996 regularly
scheduled City Council meeting shall be amended to add the position of Public Works Office
Lead, establishing a monthly salary of $2,700.00,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend does ordain as
follows:
Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance 2524 is hereby amended to add the position of Public
Works Office Lead establishing a maximum salary of $3,055.68 per month.
Section 2. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance or its application to any
person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the application of the
provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in
the form and manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second, and third times, and passed by the City Council and approved by the
Mayor on the 21st day of April, 1997.
