MINUTES OF THE STUDY SESSION OF OCTOBER 29, 2001
The City Council of the City of Port Townsend met in study session this 29th day of October,
2001, at 6:37 p.m. in the Port Townsend Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Geoff Masci
presiding.
ROLL CALL AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Councilmembers present at roll call were Allen Frank, Joe Finnie, Geoff Masci, A1 Youse,
Syd Lipton and Vem Garrison. Bill Wolcott was excused. Staff members present were City
Manager David Timmons, City Attorney John Watts, Public Works Director Ken Clow, Building
and Community Development Director Jeff Randall, and Senior Planner Judy Surber.
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS
Mr. Masci reminded the audience that the session is a council study session only, and the public
wouldn't be able to ask questions or participate in the discussion.
Mr. Masci requested better organization of the amendment sections.
Mr. Randall responded that the sections would be reorganized for the public hearing packets.
Mr. Randall and Ms. Surber outlined the eight suggested amendments and one formal
application; and then the Council held a general discussion on the proposed amendments.
Mr. Youse recused himself from the discussion of Amendment No. 6 - Resolve Zoning of US
West Facility on Lawrence Street.
Mr. Finnie left the meeting at 7:50 p.m.
ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:21 p.m.
