AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance 2567 to establish the salary for the
position of Development Review Specialist, and establishing an effective
date.
WI-IEREAS, as part of the City's on-going efforts to improve customer service and assist applicants
for development permits comply with applicable land use, environmental protection and construction
regulations, the City Council has adopted engineering design standards; and
WFIEREAS, the Mayor, the Public Works Director and the Director of Building and Community
Development have reorganized some existing positions into a more cohesive development review team; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed that the position of Public Works Assistant II in the Public Works
Operations and Maintenance Division be transferred to the new development review group and upgraded to
Development Review Specialist; and
WHEREAS, the City Administrator has evaluated the job description for the position and
recommended a salary range which has been accepted by the Mayor and Public Works Director; Now,
Therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED,
ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 2567 is hereby amended to add the following position at the monthly base
salary not to exceed the indicated amount:
Development Review Specialist ................................................. $2,358.66
Section 2. All other salaries shall remain as previously established.
Section 3. Any and all actions taken pursuant to the authority of this ordinance but prior to its passage are
hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in the form and
manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, and passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor on the
