AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF AN
AMBULANCE, AND AUTHORIZING TERMS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City has recently acquired an ambulance vehicle,
in order to take care of the immediate medical and health and welfare
needs of the citizens of the City, and
WHEREAS, it now appears that a private individual is willing and
able to enter into the ambulance business, and desires to buy the said
ambulance vehicle from the City, and that said vehicle is therefore
surplus to the needs of the City, and should be sold, now, therefore
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter
into a lease, with option to buy, of the ambulance vehicle owned by
the City, for the sum of Forty-Five Hundred Dollars, payable in
monthly lease payments of One Hundred Dollars, or more, as the same
may be negotiated, and providing for sale of said vehicle at the
option of the purchaser upon payment of the total price thereof.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approval and publication in the form and manner provided by law.
Read for the First, Second and Third times, passed by the Council
and approved by the Mayor on February 5, 1974~"-'~
