AN O~INANCE AUTHORIZING THE ~IAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEmeNT FOR THE LEASE OF THAT PORTION OF ~UIN~
ST~ET LYING ~T~EN ~TEH STREET AND FRONT STREET,
PROVIDING FOR ~NTALS AED TERM OF LEASE AND FOR
NEGOTIATING ~'ITH TItE STATE OF ¥~ASHINGTON AND ITS
AGENCIES, AND THE CONDITIONS THEREOF.
T~ CIT'~ COUNCIL OF THE CITM OF PORT TO~NSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSE~L~D, DO ORDAIN aS FOL~S:
Section 1. The the Mayor be and he im hereby authorized to
~nter"'into an agreement with the State of ~amhingtor~, or any
appropriate agency thereof, for the leame of that portion of Quincy
Street lying between Water Street and Front Street, for u~e of maid
portion of mtreet for a ferry landing and approach, for a term of
five yearm, with an option to renew for five yearm, at a rental of
One Dollar ($1.00) per annum for the initial five year period, and
much rental am may be negotiated for any renewal period, maid leame
to contain no warranty or warrantiem am to condition of the premimem,
title, or future improvement by the City. A reme'rvation mhall be
included in ~aid lea~e to in~ure accemm by ownerm to property abutting
upon maid portionm of Q~ncy Street.
Section 2. Thim ordinance mhall take effect upon itm pa~mage,
appro~ublication in the form and manner provided by law.
