AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 1456
THE CITY COUNCIL!OFi[THE~CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSES~LED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1456, passed in 1964,
as amended by Ordinance No. 1733 passed March 18, 1975, is here
and hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. Definitions. The following are the meanings
intended for certain words or groups of words found in this ordinance~
'Mobile Home' - A detached single family dwelling unit with
all of the following characteristics:
(a) Designed for long-term occupancy and containing
sleeping accomodations, a flush toilet, a tub or
shower bath, and kitchen facilities with plumbing
and ~lectrical attachments provided for attachment
to outside systems.
(b) Designed to be transported, after fabrication, upon
its own wheels or on a flat bed or other trailer or
on detachable wheels.
(c) Designed to. arrive at the site where it will be
occupied as a dwelling, complete, including mech-
anical appliances and ready for occupancy except
for minors and incidental unpacking and assembly
operations, location on foundation supports, connec-
tions to outlets and the like.
(d)Having a total floor area less than 1200 square feet
and being less than 24 feet wide in any dimension.
(e) Being built to State of Washington codes for mobile
homes per RCW 43.22.340.
'Recreation Vehicle or Travel Trailer' - Any unit which might
be called a mobile home but which falls short of meeting all of
the required characterictics, and any camper or motor home regardless
of its size or characteristics.
' Mobile Home Park' - Any plot of ground upon which two or
more ~bile homes or recreation vehicles are parked for dwelling
or sleeDinq purposes. No Dark shall be deemed a Dermitte~m~i-~
home park unless such park is in full compliance with all applicable
city ordinances and the operator thereof is in possession of current
licences required therefor.
'Health Officer' - The officers or officer of the Olympic
Health District or its successors."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect uoon its
passage, approval and publication in the form and manner required
by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on , 1976.
