AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A PROCEDURE
FOR THE ENACTMENT OF ORDINANCES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Sectionl. The title only of an ordinance shall in all cases
be read prior to its passage; provided that upon the request of any
Councilman the ordinance shall be read in its entirety prior to its
passage.
An ordinace may be passed on the day of its introduction.
No ordinance or resolution granting any franchise for any purpose
shall be gover, ned by this section.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five
days after its passage and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by ~e Mayor this 2 nd
of July, 1974.
