AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CURRENT EXPENSE FUND TO
EXTEND A LOAN TO THE CITY STREET FUND IN THE SUM OF
$20,219.00, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A ROAD GRADER, AND
PROVIDING FOR REPAYMENT THEREOF, AND THE EXPENDITURE
THEREFOR, BY SAID STREET DEPARTMENT, AND DECLARING /~N EMERGENCY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. In order to permit the purchase of a road grader by
the City Street Department, the Current Expense Fund is hereby rendered
available to make a loan to said~S~reet Department in the sum of $20,219,
and the Clerk-Treasurer is here and hereby authorized to transfer funds
accordingly, on condition that said amount shall be repaid to the said
Current Expense Fund by the said Street Fund on or before March 31, 1975.
Section 2. The City Street Department is hereby'appropriated the
sum of $20,219 for capital outlay,.purchase of equipment, in its 1974
budget, and is authorized to purchase therewi%h a road grader.
Section 3. There is here and hereby found and declared to be an
emergency requiring the foregoing appropriation.
Sect~°~ 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage,
approval and publication in the form and manner required by law.
Read for the first time July 2, 1974. Read for the 2nd and 3rd
times, passed ~y the Council and approved ~ the Mayo~ Qn July 16, 1974.
