AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE CITY
OF PORT TOWNSEND FOR THE YEAR 1974 AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATION AND TRANSFER OF $30,000.00 FROM THE
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND FOR MONIES RECEIVED BUT NOT
ANTICIPATED IN SAID 1974 BUDGET FOR THE PURPOSE OF
BEING APPROPRIATED FROM THE EQUIPMENT RENTAL FUND
CREATED BY ORDINANCE NO. /7/~ , IN ACCORDANCE WITH
R.C.W. 35.21.088, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
THE CITY CouNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Due to the fact that it could not have been foreseen at
the time of adopting the City's annual budget that monies in excess
of anticipated revenues would be received in the year 1974 and that an
Equipment Rental Fund would be created during that fiscal period, it
is now and hereby determined that the sum of $30,000.00 be transferred
from the Current Expense Fund appropriated to finance the operations
of the Equipment P~ntal Fund created by Ordinance No. ./~/~ .
The authority for such transfer to and appropriation from said
Equipment Rental Fund shall be as provided in R.C.W. 35.33.121,
permitting expenditures of amounts received in excess of revenues
budgeted in any given fiscal year.
Section 2. There is here and hereby found and declared to be ~n
emergency requiring the foregoing transfer.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval
and publication in the form and manner required by law.
