AN ORDINANCE MAKING AND FIXING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE
YEAR 1975, AND DIRECTING CERTIFICATION THEREOF.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The levy for taxes for the support of the
general City government for the year 1975 is here and hereby set
and fixed at the rate of $3.37 on each one thousand dollars of
assessed valuation (true market value), at the rate of 10¢ per
thousand dollars of such~assessed valuation for 1955 General
Obligation Bonds redemption and service, and the sum of 13¢ on
each one thousand dollars of such assessed valuation for Firemens
Pension and Relief, for a total of $3.60 levy on all of the taxable
property within the limits of the City of Port Townsend for the year
1975, as said property is valued by the County Assessor for Jeff-
erson County, Washington.
Section 2. The City Clerk is here and hereby authorized
and directed to certify the foregoing levy of taxes for the year
1975 to the County Commissioners and Auditor of Jefferson County,
Washington.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its pass-
age, approval and publication as required by law.
Read for the first,~second, and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on October 15, 1974.
