AN ORDIN~CE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 917,
AND FIXING THE NU~ER OF PA~ CO~ISSIONERS.
THE CITY CO~qCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TO~SEND, IN ~GULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 917, passed in 1923, is
here and hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. There is hereby created a board of park commis-
sioners, consisting of seven me~ers, to be appointed by the Mayor
wiht the consent of the City Council, from citizens of recognized
fitness for such positions."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its pass-
age, approval and p~lication in ~he form and manner required by
law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on NoVe~ 19, 1974. / /
