AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
STATEMENT EXPENSE TO BE DETERMINE~ AND PAID
BY CERTAIN APPLICANTS AND PARTIES, IN ALL
CASES WHE~ SUCH STATEMENTS ARE REQUIRED.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. tnlever¥~case wherein an environmental impact
statement is required to be made or supplied, by reason of application
having been made to the City Council, the City Planning ComMission,
the Board of Adjustment, the Shorelines Management Committee, or any
other agency, division, department or c~eature of the City of Port
Townsend, or where any such impact statement is re~ired for the
benefit, or partial benefit, of any person, firm or entitly other
than for the City of Port Townsend exclusively, the cost of such
environmental impact statement shall be borne by such applicant or
other person, firm or. entity, and the City of Port Townsend shall
have no financial responsibility therefor.
~. Section 2. This ordinance, shall take effect upon its passage,
approval and publication in the form and manner required by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on Jan~ 7 , 1975.
