AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ADOPTING THE 1976 BUDGETS
FOR THE GENERAL CITY GOVERNMENT, THE WATER-SEWER
DEPARTMENT, THE EQUIPMENT RENTAL DEPARTMENT AND FOR
FEDERAL SHARED REVENUE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Appropriation for the 1976 budget is hereby made
for the General City Government for the purposes and in the amounts
following: For Current Expense, $494,i37; for Public Library,
$37,159; for City Parks, $19,394; for city ~$tree~s and for the City
Street Department, $134,609; for Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund,
$72,170; for the Cumulative Reserve Fund, $19,000; and for the
Arterial Street Fund, $50,100.
Section 2. Appropriation is hereby made for the 1976 budget
the w&~er-Sewer Department as follows: For Water-Sewer departmental
operations, $356,678; for 1956 Revenue Bond Redemption, $134,501;
for 1956 Revenue Bond Reserve, $286,427; for 1956 Transmission Line
Replacement, $524,171; and for 1956 Water Works and System Construction,
$10,643.
Section 3. APpropriation is hereby made for the 1976 budget
of the Equipment Rental Department in the sum of $116.024 for the
Equipment Rental Fund.
Section 4.
Appropriation is hereby made for the 1976
expenditure of Federal Shared Revenue from the Federal Shared
Revenue Fund in the sum of $59,032.
Section 5. Due hearing having been had, the preceding four
sections hereof are hereby fixed and adopetd as the budget
appropriations for the year 1976 for the C~ty of Port Townsend
and its various utilities, dep~tments and funds.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved by the Mayor on December 2, 1975.
