A RESOLUTION A~THORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO ACCEPT A CHECK IN THE SUM OF $207.41
IN S~"~LEMENT OF LITIGATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE
DEPOSIT THEREOF IN THE WATER-SEWER DEPARTMENT FUND.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend has entered into litigation
with other plaintiffs concernin~price fixing under the Federal
Antritrust Statutes with regard to the purchase and sale of
chlorine for the treatment of the public city water supply, and
WHEREAS, said sui~ was supervised by ~he office of the Attorney
General for the State of Washington, and said suit has now been
settl~ and distribution of the settlement has been made, and
WH~, the City of Port Townsend has been paid the sum of
$207.41 as its share of said settlement, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED
That the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized to accept
the sum of $207.41 in settlement of the aforesaid suit against
Pennsalt Co., and is further authorized and directed to deposit
the same in the Sewer-Watek~;~Dept. Fund of the City.
