A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE F~%YOR TO ACCEPT, IN
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, ALL ASSETS
WHICH MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO THE CITY BY THE
JEFFERSON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY FOR ANIMAL CONTROL
AND CARE.
WHEREAS, commencing with January 1, 1974, the City of Port
Townse~ will establish and operate its own animal control and care
~rogr~', and will be in need of facilities and equipment for that
purpose, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED,
That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
accept, in behalf of the City of Port Townsend, the transfer of any
and all physical and tangible property of the Jefferson County Humane
Society, Inc., a Washington Corporation, for the purpose of applying
said property to the establishment and operation of an animal control
and care program, and facilities therefor, in said City of Port
Townsend.
