A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO
CONTRACT WITH WASHINGTON STATE FERRIES FOR CONTROL
OF FERRY PARKING AND TRAFFIC, AND AUTHORIZING
ACCEPTANCE OF PAYMENT.
For the reasons set forth in resolutions previously enacted
on June 6, 1972 and April 17, 197t.,~.~%he City Council of the City
of Port Townsend, in regular session assembled, does hereby resolve:
Section 1. The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to
contract with 'Washington State Ferries, a division of the Wash-
ington State Highways Commission, for the purpose of providing
the services of the City Police Department in the control and
direction of ferry traffic and parking, at such rates and charges
as may be adequate to compensate the police department for such
services rendered.
Section 2. The City Clerk-Treasurer is authorized to accept
payment in such sums as may accrue from said agreement~~ and to
deposit the same in the Oeneral Fund of the City%

This resolution shall remain in effect until
