A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE HIRE AND PAYMENT OF A FORESTRY
CONSULTANT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
The Mayor and City Clerk are here and hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a contract in behalf of the City with Michael
J. Schade, Forestry Consultant, for the providing of specialized
services in the sale of timber owned by the City in the City LaKe
area of Jefferson County; said services to consist of the preparation
and conduct of the sale of said timber, the advertsing thereof, and
further to supervise the removal of said timber and the accounting
therefor, for all of which said forestry consultant shall be paid five
per cent (5%) of the bid price of said timber, y~ ....... of which
shall be paid at the conclusion of the auction sale of the said timber,
~ to be paid when one half of the timber is cut and removed,
and /~ upon completion of the contract for the sale of timber and
the final payment thereof. The percentage of timber cut and ~emoved,
and the obligation for payment therefor, shall be determined by the
scale taken at the point of delivery, and by the payment made therefor
by the purchaser.
