A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY FOR SOLID WASTE
DISPOSAL, AND TO FURTHER ENTER INTO A SOLID WASTE
MANAGEMENT PLAN WITH SAID COUNTY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
Section 1. The Mayor is here and hereby authorized and directed
to enter into an agreement with Jefferson County, Washington, for
the purpose of providing solid waste disposal for the City, on such
terms as may be reasonable and proper, but to initially be at the
rate Of SZ.00 per cubic yard for solid waste, and to underwrite any
indepe~ent contractor who may ~ndertake garbage disposal service
for t~e City, insofar as liability for payment to said County for
such solid waste disposal may be conce~.
Sectio~ 2. The Mayor, in behalf of the City of Port Townsend, is
here and hereby authorized and directed to enter into a solid waste
management Plan with the Board of County Commissioners of said
Jefferson County, Washingto~i,'~as said plan has been developed by
the various employees of the said City and County.
