HomeMy WebLinkAbout77-001RESOLUTION ~. 7 7-~ WHEREAS, an application has been made for daytirm joint use of a public off-street parking facility at Monroe and Washington Streets in the City of Port Townsend, and WHEREAS, the use for which application is being made to utilize the off-street parking facility is intended for use by the public, and WHEREAS, the applicants property is located within 500 feet of such public parking facility as required by the current zoning ordinance, and WHEREAS, the Council finds there is no substantial conflict in the principal operating hours of the applicant's use and the expected use by the public generally, and WHEREAS, the authoriZed use will helP enable the addition of approxi- rmtely 1600 square feet of office space, and WHEREAS, such authorization will promote and protect property values consistent with the declared intent of the Ordinance (Section 4.01), and WHEREAS, such authorization will tend to prevent congestion in the streets, and WHEREAS, such authorization would enhance the health, safety and welfare of the citizenry, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council, by vested authority of Chapter IV, Section 4.02, authorize the use of the City owned public parking facility at Monroe and Washington Streets by the owners and leaseholders of property at 222 Monroe Streets for five vehicles on a space-available basis. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this authorization be executed and recorded as required by Section 4.02 (F) (2) of the aforementioned zoning ordinance. '77-/
