A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF ATTORNEY
FEES FOR LIBRARY BOARD MEMBERS.
WHEREAS, the members of the Library Board of Trustees
hav~ submitted a voucher for payment of certain attorney fees
incurred by them in connec~i~n with the case of Wallin v. City
of Po~t t~w~end (Superior Court No. 9001), and
~, it is found that said fees were incu=red by reason
of said k~mrd members auting in their capacity as appointive
office~ of the City, and within the purposes for which they were
appointed, and
WHEREAS, it now appears that the Court of Appeals of the
State of Waslt~'~Lngton has authorized cities to ind*mnify its
of~cials and employees for attorney fees incurred in suits
resulting from an action or failure to act within the scope of
the employee's or official'S duties, now, theref0re,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Clerk-Tre~'~ur~.~ bt and
they are hereby authorized and directed to draw, execute and issue
a warrant in payment of the voucher submitted for payment of
attorney fees incurred by members of the Port Townsend Library
Board, which v~ch~r has been duly considered by the City Council.
