ARESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO
AMBULANCE SERVICE CONTRACT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY
FIB~I~RROTECTION DISTRICTS "1" and "6"
WHEREAS, IT IS IN THE INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE OF PORT TOWNSEND THAT
ADEQUATE AMBULANCE SERVICE BE PROVIDED FOR AREAS ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, AND
WHEREAS, THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON PROVIDE FOR RECIPROCAL
AGREEMENTS TO BE MADE BETWEEN FIRE FIGHTINGAGENCIES OF THE STATE, NOW
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter
into agreements with both Jefferson County Fire Protection District No. 1
and Jefferson CoUn~y~ Fire Pro.tecti0n District No. 6, for the purpose of
providing ambulance and emergency medical service to all or any part of the
said fire protection districts, upon payment to the City of tax monies, in
appropriate amounts, to be levied by said Fire Protection Districts, with
service to be provided on the rates established from time to time for such
ambulance service by the Port Townsend Fire Department.
