A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION
TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY AT THE PRIMARY
A PROPOSITION AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF A
REGULAR PROPERTY TAX IN THE SUM OF $0.25
PER $1,000 ASSESSED VALUATION EACH YEAR
FOR SIX CONSECUTIVE YEARS BEGINNING IN 1981
TO BE COLLECTED IN 1982 FOR THE PROVISION
OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES~ AS PRO-
VIDED WITHIN THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
Section 1. That the City shall provide emergency medical care or
emergency medical services, including related personnel costs,
and related equipment, supplies, vehicles and structures needed
for the provision of emergency medical care or emergency medical
services.
Section 2. In order to produce the revenue adequate to pay the
costs of the providing of like protection services as described
in Section 1 of this resolution and to maintain reserve funds
sufficient to assure the continuation of such services, the
City shall levy in 1981 and collect in 1982 an additional
property tax of $0.25 per $1,000 assessed valUation which will
continue for six consecutive years.
Section 3. There shall be submitted to the qualified electors of
the City of Port Townsend for their ratification or rejection, an
election on September 15, 1981, the question of whether or not
such levy for maintenance and operation shall be made.
