RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend is the record owner of the following
described real estate;
WHEREAS, in the improvement of Jefferson County Sundry Site Plans - Port
Townsend Ferry Terminal by the State of Washington, Department of Transportation,
it is necessary and advisable for the State of Washington to acquire title to ALL
CITY STREETS, ROADS and EASEMENTS, recorded and unrecorded, rights and
appurtenances thereto, located within the limits of said highway, said lands for
a right of way for said highway; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration by the City Council of City of Port
Townsend, it appears to the said Council that it will be in the best interests of
both City of Port Townsend and the State of Washington that the City of Port
Townsend convey said lands to the State of Washington by quit claim deed for a
consideration of mutual benefits;
NOW THEREFORE, be hereby RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend, Washington, that the City of Port Townsend in accordance with RCW
47.12.040 and through its Council to deliver said deed to the State of
Washington, Department of Transportation.
