A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF
THE NUCLEAR WEAPONS FREEZE PETITION
~HEREAS, the nuclear arms race directly threatens the security and
well-being of the citizens of Port Townsend; and,
WHEREAS, the United States and the Soviet Union should immediately
and jointly stop the nuclear arms race; and,
WHEREAS, the petition calling for a mutual nuclear weapons freeze
is a message to the leaders of both countries, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Port Townsend
endorses this mutual nuclear arms freeze petition.
