A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO SIGN A REVISED TOURIST
PROMOTION CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit corporation, has requested
that the~cityin~rease its contribution to the promotion of tourism within
the area to allow for the printing of additional brochures, and,
WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce has invested additional funds to secure
slots for distribution aboard the Washington State Ferries, and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 19, 1983, to receive comments
on the this proposed use of Hotel/Motel Transient Tax Funds, and,
WHEREAS, no adverse testimony has been offered against the proposal, NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND IN REGULAR
SESSION ASSEMBLED:
Section 1) That the Mayor and City Clerk are here and hereby authorized
and directed to sign an amendment to the existing contract authorized by
Resolution No. 83-3 which would raise the cumulative total allowed to
eighteen thousand five hundred dollars ($18,500.00).
