A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON COUNTY
FOR MUNICIPAL COURT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND is required to establish and
operate a municipal court for the judicial processing of City cases, and,
WHEREAS, the District Court of Jefferson County, Washington has
provided court services for the municipal requirements of the City for
many years, and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the combination of the municipal
court of the City and the District Court of Jefferson County be continued
for the year 1984, and the sum of $25,000.00 has been budgeted therefor,
it is
RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
and directed to enter into a contract with Jefferson County, Washington,
for the purpose of obtaining municipal court services for the City in the
County District Court, and to pay the sum of $25,000.00 in quarterly installments
for services during the year of 1984.
