A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO PAY JUDGMENT
LIEN
WHEREAS, Steve Hayden and Jeaneen Hayden, and Robert DeWeese
and Kris DeWeese hold a judgment lien in Jefferson County Superior
Court Cause No. 9402 against the City of Port Townsend and other
defendants, in the amount of $200.18, plus interest since February 27,
1981, for a total amount due as of this date .~2S5.30 ,
WHEREAS property against which said lien exists includes a
portion of Lot 2, Block 70, in the L~B. Hastings Second Addition
to the City of Port Townsend, which property the City is seeking
to acquire by eminant domain in Jefferson County Cause No. 84-2-00150-9,
and
WHEREAS, said judgment lien should be paid to clear title of
said property, nowtherefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
authorized to pay to the judgment creditors by City warrant the
total sum of _~285_.30.~ in exchange for a satisfaction of judgment
from said parties clearing said lien from the ~udgment docket, and
to seek, with the City Attorney, reimbursement of a portion of
said amount from the other defendants in Jefferson County Cause
No. 9402.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council for the City of
Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this ~-Z- day of May, 1985.
