HomeMy WebLinkAbout85-026RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND ACCEPTING DONATION OF CERTAIN R~AL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY FROM GEORGE AND HELEN COTTON WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend is authorized by State law to accept donations of property for municipal purposes, and George and. Helen Cotton propose to deed to the City Lots 7 and 8 of Block 21 of L.B. Hastings 2nd Addition to the City and WHEREAS, the donor's appraisal has established a fair market~ value of the property to be $4,400.00, and the City desires to accept said property from the donor, now therefore BE IT RESOLVED that the City accepts from George and Helen Cotton the above described property upon execution by them of a deed of the property to the city and its re- cordation with the Auditor for Jefferson County, Washington, the City to use said property for general municipal purposes, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Port Townsend extends its thanks and appreciation to George and Helen Cotton for this gift to the City. Passed by the City Council for the City of Port Townsend and approved by the MaYor this 16th day of July, 1985.
