HomeMy WebLinkAbout2679 Recreation and Swimming Program FeesOrdinance No. ~,~o Q c~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND REVISING AND ESTABLISHING THE FEES FOR THE RECREATION AND SWIMMING PROGRAMS, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 18, 1999 AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2618 WHEREAS, beginning January 1, 1995, the City agreed to take over the public recreation program and management of the swimming pool, located at Mountain View Elementary School and owned by the Port Townsend School District; and WHEREAS, in Ordinance 2618, the City Council amended Ordinance 2557 setting fees for the Recreation and Swim Programs for 1997; and WHEREAS, following public City Council heatings, workshops, and meetings, in order to defray City costs, the City determines it necessary to establish and adjust fees for the recreation programs for 1999, NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, in regular session hereby ordains as follows: SECTION 1. From and after January 18, 1999, the following revised fees and charges are established for the City Recreation Program: Recreation Program (Per participant) After School 40.00 Max * Summer Enrichment Camp 150.00 Volunteer Recognition 25.00 Youth Tennis 30.00 T-Ball 20.00 Open Gym 10.O0,qir. 12.50 hr.* After School Science & PE 6.00 per day Late Start 3.00/session * or up to the maximum allowed by the Port Townsend School District. * hourly rate for the facility not per participant SECTION 2. The Parks, Recreation and Property Committee of the City Council is hereby authorized to set special rates for the recreation and swimming programs for promotional purposes. Such revisions of the above fees and charges shall be for limited periods of time only, and need not be approved by full Council. This Ordinance shall take effect January 18, 1999. Read for the first, second, and third times and adopted by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting thereof, held this 4th day of January, 1999.
